FAQ

Is tuning worth it?
Routine piano tuning calibrates string tension and soundboard resonance, ensuring optimal pitch and tone. It’s both pitch and preventative maintenance, mitigating mechanical stress on the pinblock and action assembly, reducing component wear and preventing costly repairs. By preserving structural integrity and performance consistency, professional tuning safeguards your instrument’s long-term value.

How often should I tune my piano?
The official recommendation is every 6 months. If you are a piano teacher or use the piano in a large space (such as a church sanctuary or recital hall), tuning as often as every 3 months will help maintain pitch stability. Needs do vary, and if you have questions about your specific piano, feel free to send us an email by clicking here.

What kinds of pianos do you work on?
We have experience working on: uprights, grands, concert grands, vintage/antique pianos, and player pianos. Additionally, we work on de-humidifier systems, known as Dampp-Chasers, and Rebecca is Dampp-Chaser certified.
The only type of piano not currently servicing: electric pianos
